Decent enough for a free event

I've never been to a scrimmage or pro game for that matter so I wasn't sure what to expect. The facility is nice and everything was pretty well organized. However, my friends were unaware of the bag restrictions as it was their first time at a pro game as well. My friend was going to check her bag at the kiosk outside the gate but we walked passed a bag check point and the staffer working there told her he'd let her go "this time" and even commented that this must be her first game. We thought that was really nice of him as her bag wasn't much bigger than the required size anyway. Sadly however, we get to the gate and are told by the staffers there that her bag was too big and that she had to check it or bring it back to her car which meant she had to go through the line all over again. So while she's checking her bag, we're waiting for her inside the gate and watching as one person after the next walked through with bag bigger than hers! Ridiculous! If you're going to have a policy, you should ensure EVERYONE on your staff adheres to it. My friend waited in line, was told her bag was "okay" only to be told that it wasn't and that she had to go through the line again. Kind of a disappointing start to the event. Now we know better of course but the staff shouldn't be picking and choosing what bags are okay and what bags aren't-kids were walking through with backpacks yet my friends tiny purse wasn't allowed. Once we got inside, we found all of the staff to be nice and helpful whenever we'd ask a question. Everything was very clean and well organized. When we went to get our food, the line took forever. We figured it had to do with the amount of food families were ordering together but when my friend and I finally got the counter we realized it was because the gal working the line was taking to sweet time putting orders together. We only ordered 4 things-all pre-made and ready to go items but it still took her ten minutes to ring up and assemble everything on our tray. Frustrating to say the least considering we had already been waiting in what was a relatively short line for 15 minutes before that. I will say though, the prices weren't as bad as I expected so that was nice. We ordered fries and they weren't cooked all the way through-they were thick and really soggy and tasted horrible. We got cookies later on in the game and for $7-they we not worth it! So that stuff was a let down but the game itself was enjoyable and everyone in the crowd had a good time. The fireworks at the end was a really nice treat and we plan to go back now that we know what to expect as far as bag sizes and food available.

Good but parking is a hassle

There is no clear signage for where to park if you don't have a prepaid permit. It was a real hassle that sent us in circles for 15 minutes and we missed the kickoff. We ended up in a parking garage for American Dream and paid $45 and then walked through the long tunnel overpass to the stadium. They could have just had a sign telling people to park there in the first place. The stadium itself was good. There are TV monitors outside and inside everywhere so you don't have to miss the game as you enter or buy food. The ushers were helpful and did a good job keeping Raiders fans from disturbing others or smoking. It was a rainy day and the ushers did not have anything to wipe down the seats once the rain tapered off. At the Mets game usually the ushers will wipe the seats dry. The food service was as good as you could expect for a stadium. The people working in the food service all had great attitudes considering it was a cold and wet day. The Jets won 34 to 3 so everyone was happy but the overall experience could be improved.
